Don’t love doing chores? An AI robot may be able to help

If taking out the trash isn't on your list of favourite things to do, AI robots may soon be able to help with that chore or any other mundane physical task you can think of.

Neura Robotics is designing a humanoid AI robot they've named '4NE-1'.

“It should be able to take our garbage out and should be able to do things which we don't like to do," said David Reger, CEO and founder of Neura Robotics. "I think it will change a lot."

The German-based company brought 4NE-1, also known as their ‘top-secret masterpiece,’ to Automate, North America's largest robotics trade show, in Chicago, Illinois.

Automate attendees crowded Neura's booth to get a sneak peak at 4NE-1 and snap photos with the robot Reger hopes will be a fixture in everyday human life in the near future.

"In five or 10 years, you will have humanoids on the streets," said Reger. "It's quite fast, but it's possible."

With 4NE-1 still in the development phase, Neura Robotics was unable to discuss release windows or pricing information.
