‘Glastonbury of trains’ celebrates 200 years of rail
Stretching across more than 65 acres in the English city of Derby, Litchurch Lane Works is one of the UK’s largest working train factories, and the only one where trains are designed, built and tested on a single site. This weekend, the site is hosting one of the biggest public railway events ever held in Britain. The Greatest Gathering is a three-day celebration marking 200 years since the world’s first passenger railway.
